Whew, it's been a while since I've updated my blog! I'll probably have multiple blog posts a day since I've been lagging. It's my fourth week back to school since winter break and so far, I'm settling in well. This semester I'm taking, "Fashion Coordination" which is a course that deals with planning the annual fashion show at my college in May. As a class, the theme we came for this year's show is EVOKE.
I'll be blogging more updates about it once my class gets rolling. Needless to say, I feel rejuvenated and inspired again. I'm looking forward to a great semester :)

Happy Halloween

Barbie blowing love your way |
I hoped everyone had a great Halloween weekend.
The Gap
Hello everyone! I just recently go hired at The Gap as a sales associate. I'm super stoked because this will be my first job in the retail industry. Though I'm only a seasonal worker, I hope to be a part of the team once the season's over with, if not, I'll just have to start searching again.
With minimum work experience, it's been a long waiting process applying for jobs, but thankfully my prayers have been answered. I remembered applying online to different retailers and the emails that I got back always went along the lines of, "...we regret to inform you that you have not been chosen for this position." So for those of you who are in the same boat as I am, don't give up! It's easy to get discouraged, but keep looking and applying and EVENTUALLY you'll get it.
I was browsing on The Gap website and came across 4 great layering tips for this winter. I hope you'll enjoy them and be able to mix and match some of your sweaters and cardigans with these looks OR you can definietly go out to The Gap and get some for yourself if needed =)

Lipstick♥
I normally do not buy or wear lipstick, but after watching endless makeup tutorials on youtube with the makup gurus using lipstick I decided to give it a try and took out my few lipsticks I have bought throughout the year.
I am def. looking forwards to getting more shades and colors! I apologize beforehand for the bad lighting. In the first picture you can barely pick out the color of the lipstick I'm wearing, but it's a nice soft pink shade.
I really want a coral shade and I'm still looking for the perfect nude lipstick, that hopefully doesn't make me look sick. LOL. What are some of your favorite shades/brands of lipstick?

Duct Tape FUN
From duct tape prom dresses to duct tape wallets, there comes duct tape BRACELETS! On Monday-Wednesday I help out at my cousin's church for their annual Hmong Summer Reading Program for students in elementary and high school. I love being surrounded by the animated little children and seeing them be able to read and write Hmong, something that I'm not as good at, even if I tried, I would have to admit. Between the Hmong classes for students, there is also game time and craft time! After being taught how to make Duct Tape bracelets a few weeks ago, (which is very easy to do!) everyone has been making them like crazy. Here are a few bracelets that others made for me, and ones I made myself. I will def. post up a D.I.Y on this bracelet soon. In the meantime, enjoy!

I love wearing them out! They look like just real bangles. LOL, and yes, I know I did get really tan over the summer =)

Paper Dresses
I'm not one of the most eco-friendly person, BUT I must say I do a good job of keeping up with recycling. I've noticed that the the first thing I always tend to say while helping clean up after a family gathering/party is, "Do you guys recycle?" And if they don't, it really bugs me to just see recyclable products tossed in the same trash bags as the non recyclables. At school in my room, I have to have a separate trash bag for cans/plastic bottles/juice cartons and a separate trash bag for everything else. I'm also big on recycling paper, so I also have to have a huge cardboard box for that as well, *sigh especially as a college student. So if you're not in the habit of recycling, you should get into the habit of it. I believe its one of the easiest steps to be eco-friendly.
Anywho, onto the point of this blog!
Since I bought my Confetti wristlet, I have been interested in green/eco-friendly designs, (clothing wise) and have been googling and binging (LOL, does that sound funny?) different "green" designs and came across paper dresses. Paper dresses referring to dress designs made out of paper and newspaper. I would def. advise everyone to go on their favorite search engine and type in Paper Dresses. You are bound to get some great links/images and even find some designers who use recyclable items to make their line or some who just use paper. Here are some of my favorite paper dress designs I found while browsing online.

Referring back to what I said in my second paragraph about finding designers who makes their garments out of recyclable items and paper, I actually found two great ones. I will post up a blog about them and link you guys to their website. If you guys liked the pictures above, you guys will fall in love with their designs!

Paper Dresses

*Aren't these dresses just all so beautiful!? After seeing pages and pages of different paper dresses, it really made me want to create my own! Which is def. what I am going to do, but just not right now. The reason being is because I really want this project to be successful and in order for that to happen, I must plan first instead of just diving straight into it. I know for some people diving straight into something works the best for them, but for me it just doesn't seem to work well=/

H&M ♥
Pazazz

In the meantime, here are some recent pictures of how I look like now since summer has began. I still look the same expect I got tanner and my hair is growing. I can't wait for my hair to grow long again, I promise I won't get it cut until next May! Haha, but we'll see how that goes.

Black and Gold Headband: $5.95 (H&M)

Confetti
I just received my Ecoist wristlet in the mail yesterday and can't wait to take it out with me this weekend. It's super cute and it definietly exceeded my expectations. In a last minute decision, well before my order was processed, I change the design to "Confetti" instead of what I originally was going to buy it in, "Magazine". I figured what the heck, why not go bold and picked a crazy fun one.
I took it out yesterday with me to the library and already received compliments on it. I have to start memorizing everything on the little info card to let others know what it's made out of-recycled candy wrappers and food packages.
Did I mention that everything on www.ecoist.com is free shipping? If not, I said it here=)

Every/Any Ecoist Wrislet
I came upon www.ecoist.com a while back while I was doing some research about fair trade stores. Ecoist is a fair trade company that sells purses, clutches, wristlets, etc.. made out of all sorts of recycled materials such as candy wrappers, news papers, magazines etc... All of the products are uniquely handmade and for every purchase, a tree is planted! Isn't that neat?
If you're into green products or you're interested to see some, I advise you guys to go check out the website and possibly make a purchase of your own.
Here's what I just ordered today!
Isn't it cute?!?! Gahh, I can't wait to receive it in the mail and take it out with me.

H&M SALE
If you didn't know, H&M is having a CRAZY GOOD SALE going on right now! I've made a few trips there at my local mall and bought something each trip. I know as a college student who is home for the summer and who doesn't have a job shouldn't be spending money on clothing, BUT I cannot help it=/ These sales are just to good of a deal to past up! *Sigh, I'll be going to the mall tomorrow again and HOPEFULLY, I can restrain myself from buying more clothes! HOWEVER-I shouldn't feel to bad right since all of the clothing I buy are usually always on sale. I seriously don't remember a time where I bought any clothing for full price, unless it was under $20.00.
In the meantime, here are photos of some of my best steals (no, not steal as in actually stealing).

H&M Cropped Top
Originally: $7.??
Sale:$3.00
Plain and simple the way I like things! I couldn't resist the $3.00 and bought three of them. The gray, coral and navy (not pictured) ones. Since these were the last ones on the shelf, they were all large (I usually wear mediums). Nevertheless, they still fit me fine.
I'll post up more photos from my H&M sale hauls very soon.

Madden Girl.
Hello, hello! I just wanted to share with you all a recent purchase of high heels I bought yesterday at DSW. They were originally $44.94, but was on clearance for 40% off. My total purchase came out to be $26.96. I have always been a flat girl and would only wore high heels to special occasions, but NOW, I'm inlove with heels and would def. wear them with my everyday outfits! LOL, I want to get more pairs of them in all sorts of cuts, designs, and colors. So, this pair of heels will be the official start of my new heels collection.
What really attracted me to this particular pair of heels was the design of it. I've seen a lot of gladiator style heels, but never one like this. The thick leather straps that laces up reminds me of a ballerina and the plat form of the shoes reminds me of a rocker chick. I can't wait to wear these babies out and start her story.

Zipia.Net
I came across www.zipia.net in middle school and loved LOVED loved all of the clothes that were sold on the website. Zipia is an online mall where one can purchase clothing from different Korean brands. There are endless selections of clothing for all types of occasion for BOTH men and women. Unfortunately, today still, in order to purchase the items on this website, one needs to have a minimum order of $300 u.s dollars. Perhaps one day when I get a real world job, I'll make an order on this website,
Nevertheless, I still love coming onto this website to just look at what's new and in, in the Korean fashion trends. If you guys haven't checked it out yet, you guys should! However, I believe one will have to make an account before you can view the clothing sold. If you have to, you should just do it. I guarantee you'll go back on the website just to look at all the different styles of clothing=)
Here are some of my favorite styles from the website:

♥Betseyville IPOD Case♥
I remember the first thing I wanted to do when my brother gave me his old ipod was to get a cute case for it. I was, and still am today, a sucker for anything cute! Browsing through the shelves of cases at Best Buy, I couldn't seem to find anything cute or to my liking UNTIL- I came across a cute collection of ipod cases by Betsey Johnson, called "Betseyville." I was super excited and probably spent at least thirty minutes debating on which design to get for my case. Blue or Pink? Haha, tough decision right? Well in the end, I decided to get the blue studded case and couldn't be happier. Here are some recent pictures of me showcasing the cute case I got three years ago. LOL, please don't mind my messy hair.
Betseyville
Can you believe I haven't uploaded any new songs into my IPOD for almost three years now! Phew, talk about how fast time flies by. So this summer, one of my summer projects is to re-vamp my playlist and add new songs and music videos into my ipod. I guess one of the reasons why I haven't been consistent with uploading new songs onto it is because I really don't carry it anywhere with me and only listen to it when I'm on the bus/plane back home from college. However, this year, I will make more use of it and carry it with me wherever I go. Haha, sometimes I just can't help but to wish I had "Stuck In The Moment" by Justin Bieber playing when I'm on the six hour+ bus ride home.
