H&M Nudes

Alright, here is another one of my H&M haul post. These are my recent purchase from H&M's crazy good sale. I'm telling you girls, go to your closest H&M and shop their sale before it ends. It's been going on for a good two months now and though a lot of items may have been bought, I guarantee you that there are still some good finds left. All you have to do is just dig! I loved LOVED everything that I bought. I bought three items for a solid $20, and I will tell you, this has got to be one of my best spent $20 ever. You'll see why later=) I apologize these photos are not the best quality, but they'll do for now. Here are some photos of the three items that I bought. I really didn't mean to buy all shades of nudes, but what can I say, nudes are totally in! And no, I am not talking about nude, as a nudist, I'm talking about nude as the color. LOL

 She's so lovely
The funny thing is, I fell in love with this dress the moment that I saw it a few months ago even before it was markdown. I really wanted to buy it then but thank goodness I waited for the markdown. I can't wait to wear this dress out to formal parties and for a girls night out with my ladies.
Floral Cut Outs
I was browsing through the sales rack when I came up with this find! I just had to get it because it was only $5. I have been looking for a cut out shirt for a while now and finally found one! I think this floral cropped top is perfect to end the summer with.
Floral Lace
As much as I loved my dress and floral cut out top, this floral lace top  is def. one of my best finds. I found this one off the sale rack in a different rack with the regular store items. It was the only one left and right when I saw it, I knew I just had to get it. Haha, I know I overly use that phrase, but this was a different feeling. I have always liked floral and lace, but whenever I see the two together at stores, it's usually expensive. Well, at least when I see them. So when I saw this top I was like, wooooow, I am not going to past up on this offer. I can't wait to dress up and down with this top. I already have a few outfits picked out in mind for this one.

Duct Tape FUN

From duct tape prom dresses to duct tape wallets, there comes duct tape BRACELETS! On Monday-Wednesday I help out at my cousin's church for their annual Hmong Summer Reading Program for students in elementary and high school. I love being surrounded by the animated little children and seeing them be able to read and write Hmong, something that I'm not as good at, even if I tried, I would have to admit. Between the Hmong classes for students, there is also game time and craft time! After being taught how to make Duct Tape bracelets a few weeks ago, (which is very easy to do!) everyone has been making them like crazy. Here are a few bracelets that others made for me, and ones I made myself. I will def. post up a D.I.Y on this bracelet soon. In the meantime, enjoy!
Splattered Prints
Aren't they cute!?
I love wearing them out! They look like just real bangles. LOL, and yes, I know I did get really tan over the summer =)

Paper Dresses

I'm not one of the most eco-friendly person, BUT I must say I do a good job of keeping up with recycling. I've noticed that the the first thing I always tend to say while helping clean up after a family gathering/party is, "Do you guys recycle?" And if they don't, it really bugs me to just see recyclable products tossed in the same trash bags as the non recyclables. At school in my room, I have to have a separate trash bag for cans/plastic bottles/juice cartons and a separate trash bag for everything else. I'm also big on recycling paper, so I also have to have a huge cardboard box for that as well, *sigh especially as a college student. So if you're not in the habit of recycling, you should get into the habit of it. I believe its one of the easiest steps to be eco-friendly.

Anywho, onto the point of this blog!

Since I bought my Confetti wristlet, I have been interested in green/eco-friendly designs, (clothing wise) and have been googling and binging (LOL, does that sound funny?) different "green" designs and came across paper dresses. Paper dresses referring to dress designs made out of paper and newspaper. I would def. advise everyone to go on their favorite search engine and type in Paper Dresses. You are bound to get some great links/images and even find some designers who use recyclable items to make their line or some who just use paper. Here are some of my favorite paper dress designs I found while browsing online.

Paper Dresses

*Aren't these dresses just all so beautiful!? After seeing pages and pages of different paper dresses, it really made me want to create my own! Which is def. what I am going to do, but just not right now. The reason being is because I really want this project to be successful and in order for that to happen, I must plan first instead of just diving straight into it. I know for some people diving straight into something works the best for them, but for me it just doesn't seem to work well=/

Referring back to what I said in my second paragraph about finding designers who makes their garments out of recyclable items and paper, I actually found two great ones. I will post up a blog about them and link you guys to their website. If you guys liked the pictures above, you guys will fall in love with their designs!

H&M ♥

Pazazz
Ever since H&M started their summer sale, I have been shopping there non stop. I swear half of my summer wardrobe is H&M. I know I have said in one of my previous post that I will post up pictures of my H&M hauls, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I will def. post it up before I go back to school though.

In the meantime, here are some recent pictures of how I look like now since summer has began. I still look the same expect I got tanner and my hair is growing. I can't wait for my hair to grow long again, I promise I won't get it cut until next May! Haha, but we'll see how that goes.

Confetti

I just received my Ecoist wristlet in the mail yesterday and can't wait to take it out with me this weekend. It's super cute and it definietly exceeded my expectations. In a last minute decision, well before my order was processed, I change the design to "Confetti"  instead of what I originally was going to buy it in,  "Magazine". I figured what the heck, why not go bold and picked a crazy fun one.
Confetti Wristlet
This wristlet was handmade in Peru with LOVE! Gotta ♥ Fair Trade
I took it out yesterday with me to the library and already received compliments on it. I have to start memorizing everything on the little info card to let others know what it's made out of-recycled candy wrappers and food packages.

Did I mention that everything on www.ecoist.com is free shipping?  If not, I said it here=)

Street Fashion in Japan

Tokyo
I love the simple look of these two outfits. One can never go wrong with a pair of black tights or a chunky knitted scarf! I believe they're both must haves for any wardrobe.

All of the products are uniquely handmade and for every purchase, a tree is planted! Isn't that neat?
