Paper Dresses

I'm not one of the most eco-friendly person, BUT I must say I do a good job of keeping up with recycling. I've noticed that the the first thing I always tend to say while helping clean up after a family gathering/party is, "Do you guys recycle?" And if they don't, it really bugs me to just see recyclable products tossed in the same trash bags as the non recyclables. At school in my room, I have to have a separate trash bag for cans/plastic bottles/juice cartons and a separate trash bag for everything else. I'm also big on recycling paper, so I also have to have a huge cardboard box for that as well, *sigh especially as a college student. So if you're not in the habit of recycling, you should get into the habit of it. I believe its one of the easiest steps to be eco-friendly.

Anywho, onto the point of this blog!

Since I bought my Confetti wristlet, I have been interested in green/eco-friendly designs, (clothing wise) and have been googling and binging (LOL, does that sound funny?) different "green" designs and came across paper dresses. Paper dresses referring to dress designs made out of paper and newspaper. I would def. advise everyone to go on their favorite search engine and type in Paper Dresses. You are bound to get some great links/images and even find some designers who use recyclable items to make their line or some who just use paper. Here are some of my favorite paper dress designs I found while browsing online.

Paper Dresses

*Aren't these dresses just all so beautiful!? After seeing pages and pages of different paper dresses, it really made me want to create my own! Which is def. what I am going to do, but just not right now. The reason being is because I really want this project to be successful and in order for that to happen, I must plan first instead of just diving straight into it. I know for some people diving straight into something works the best for them, but for me it just doesn't seem to work well=/

Referring back to what I said in my second paragraph about finding designers who makes their garments out of recyclable items and paper, I actually found two great ones. I will post up a blog about them and link you guys to their website. If you guys liked the pictures above, you guys will fall in love with their designs!
