안녕하세요 (An-nyoung-ha-seh-yo)

Besides my love of watching Korean dramas, I absolutely love the traditional Korean Hanbok! They're simple and just oh so very beautiful. Mehee Kim and Lee Young Hee are two very talented Korean Designers who took the design of the traditional Korean Hanbok up to the next level. As you all can see, both of their designs consisted of a "modernized" twist, but yet their designs are so different from each other. Of course, nothing really ever beats the beauty of the traditional outfits in all cultures, but sometimes changing things up a bit can bring in new insights. In the meantime, be prepared to get your breath taken away (of course not literally) by these beautiful designs=)

For Kicks and Giggles
As a club member and participant of the International Fashion Show last year during my first year of college, I represented South Korea wearing a beautiful pink Hanbok. LOL, here are some pictures of my fabulous friend Paser and I having fun trying them on.

In general, I think traditional clothing from EVERY culture are just soooo beautiful! Being Hmong, I'm just so thankful that the Hmong communities have events every year for everyone to showcase their beautiful Hmong clothes. Honestly, when I was younger, I always dreaded wearing Hmong clothes to the Hmong New Years and always wanted to wear the latest style of Abercrombie or Hollister. LOL, however, as I'm getting older, I'm starting to appreciate and embrace my culture more and what do you know, now I LOVE wearing Hmong clothes to the Hmong New Years! Come to think of it, there are MANY talented Hmong Designers that I will definitely have to blog about in the near future. Until then, good luck to every one on their studies

P.S. I hope Google Translate did me justice. LOL, if not, please let me know if you speak Korean and write Hangul. I surely don't want to put up anything that misinterprets what I want to say.
